Massive congratulations to Annie Plastow with her mare Dyffryngwy Her Majesty who graded into the head studbook with the Sports Pony Society with 81.92% AMAZING result AND she was Champion Mare of the day. Dyffryngwy Her Majesty was foaled in 2015. She is by Danaway DeNiro and out of Dyffryngwy Boneddiges
Dyffryngwy Siwan was purchased by Rachel Davies at the 2015 Brightwells Cob Sales and Rachel has done a fantastic job of bringing this young mare on over the winter and season of 2016. The pair have had a very successful novice season winning championships and supremes in hand and ridden. Well done Rachel & “Pwds”
Dyffryngwy Sir Picasso
Gwyneth is so proud of Dyffryngwy Sir Picasso’s achievements : sold as a foal at Brightwells, he has excelled himself yet again with Emma Boardman, qualifying for HOYS at the North of England. ** He has also qualified for Olympia too **
2016 has been an exceptional year for the Dyffryngwy Stud, both for welsh cobs still at the stud as well as those that have been sold. The full sisters Dyffryngwy Welsh Charisma and Welsh Model have excelled themselves. Dyffryngwy Welsh Charisma who won the yearling class at the Royal Welsh before becoming reserve youngstock champion and reserve overall female cob – an outstanding achievement for a yearling.
Dyffryngwy Welsh Model had already gone champion & double bronze medal winner at Oswestry & Minsterley Show before finishing the show season in style at Llanfair Caereinion by being Welsh Cob Champion once again
With many thanks to David Oliver for his help in showing her, Dyffryngwy Charisma was Supreme Show at the Severn Valley Foal Show. Charisma is by Cascob Brynmor and out of Dyffryngwy Cariad B, so a full sister to Dyffryngwy Welsh Model
The 4 Dyffryngwy Lots from Sunday
It was a hectic lead up to the Cob Sales but a total of 6 welsh cobs from Dyffryngwy found new homes at the 2015 Brightwells Autumn Cob Sales. Many thanks to all that helped Gwyneth on an emotionally and physically exhausting couple of days & congratulations to the new owners: please keep in touch with news and photos.
Gwyneth was over the moon to discover that Dyffryngwy Sir Picasso who she sold as a foal at the 2010 Brightwells Autumn Cob Sales has qualified for Olympia at his first show as a four year old.
